Relationship between light environment and fruit-set rate in passion fruit

The seminar this week will be given by Ryou Komatsu. I will make a presentation about relationship between light environment and fruit-set rate. According to a previous work, artificial pollination in passion fruit in rainy days gives a bad effect on fruit-set rate, and the reason of this doesn’t clear.

In my reserch this year, I aim to reveal relationship between light environment and fruit-set rate in passion fruit by analyzing photosynthesis rate, pollen tube growth, embryo development, germination rate of pollen, carbohydrate content and fruit-set rate.
